Course Description

This course is designed to develop the participant’s:

  • Awareness of the risks associated with working at height
  • Knowledge of Work at height safe work practices
  • Understanding of the control measures required for Work at height

Training shall consist of a combination of formal instruction (e.g., lecture, discussion, interactive, video, written material). Each candidate will undergo a theory assessment (multiple-choice questions) at the end of the course.


Course Objective

By the end of this training program, participants would be able to

  • Know about the risks associated with working at height
  • Know of work at height safe work practices
  • Understand the control measures required for work at height
  • Understand how to carry out a work at height pre-assessment and control
  • Understand rescue arrangements for work at height
  • Know of the Fall protection system

  • Understand the importance of maintenance and inspection of fall protection equipment

  • Know of the safe use and requirements of work at height equipment including scaffolding, ladders and mobile elevated working platforms.
  • Know the components and requirements of personal fall arrest system
  • Understand the requirements for safe working on roofs
