HSI Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Course Description
The HSI Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is tailored for professionals in healthcare settings, including hospitals, emergency medical services (EMS), and critical care units. It focuses on providing healthcare providers with the knowledge and advanced techniques needed to assess and treat cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on training, participants will enhance their skills in managing complex medical emergencies with confidence.
Course Objective
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
-
Understand the pathophysiology of cardiac arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.
-
Perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation for adults, including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
-
Apply advanced airway management techniques and ventilatory support in emergency scenarios.
-
Use the ACLS algorithms to manage various emergency situations, including acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and stroke.
-
Recognize and manage various arrhythmias, including tachycardia and bradycardia.
-
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals in managing cardiac arrest and other emergencies in a team-based environment.
