Lifting and Rigging
Course Description
This course is designed to develop the participant’s:
- Awareness of the risks associated with Lifting and Rigging
- Knowledge of Lifting and Rigging safe work practices
- Understanding of the control measures required while working at Lifting and Rigging
Training shall consist of a combination of formal instruction (e.g., lecture, discussion, interactive, video, written material). Each candidate will undergo a theory assessment (multiple-choice questions) at the end of the course.
Course Objective
By the end of this training program, participants would
- Gain knowledge on relevant PPE, Hazards, Signals
- Know and understand the use of different types of hitches
- Know and understand the use of Slings, Wire ropes, Chains, Shakles, Clamps, Hooks etc.
- Know Lifting Appliances.
- Be able to read liffting table charts
